10th Dan - Grandmaster - Uechiryu Karate
Sensei Bob Bethoney began his study of Uechi Karate in 1964 and was promoted to 10th Degree Grandmaster in June of 2018. One of the premiere fighters in the history of the Uechi system, he has amassed over 57 trophies for full-contact and point tournaments both in the United States and abroad. He is a charter member of the Uechiryu Hall of Fame.
Sensei Bethoney has a long history of practical performance through his law enforcement career beginning in 1986. He knows how Uechi Ryu can work in the "real world" and has been a Senior Instructor for the MA Criminal Justice Training Council and the MA Sheriff's Association.
He teaches daily at his Dojo in Hanson, MA where he has produced thousands of capable karate-ka and many Uechi masters. Sensei Bethoney’s presentation skills are second to none. He has the ability to make every class he teaches interesting, practical, and enjoyable.
Seminar: I will be working with prearrange Kumites and the significant teachings of these Kumites that we have done hundreds and hundreds of times, to become an advanced fighter and protection on the street against even the worthiest opponent.
