6th Dan - Uechiryu Karate
Sensei Christian Maine is the founder of White Mountain Karate and Adaptive Defense. To this day he continues his training and teaching in Uechi Ryu Karate and Martial Blade Concepts and is always striving to be a student first. This year he will be teaching empty handed defense against a knife at this year's Uechi-Con.
Seminar: The use of a tactical pen for self-defense is a practical and effective tool that can be easily incorporated into one's daily routine.
During the seminar on how to use a tactical pen for self-defense, Mr. Maine will provide participants with basic drills that can be applied in conjunction with their Uechi Ryu training. Uechi Ryu is a traditional Okinawan martial art that focuses on practical self-defense techniques, making it the perfect complement to the use of a tactical pen. By integrating the use of a tactical pen into their martial arts practice, participants will be better prepared to defend themselves against larger, faster, and stronger opponents.
One of the key advantages of using a tactical pen for self-defense is its versatility and convenience. Tactical pens are designed to be lightweight, compact, and easy to carry, making them an ideal tool for everyday use. Unlike traditional self-defense weapons such as knives or firearms, tactical pens are non-lethal and can be carried discreetly without drawing unwanted attention. This makes them a safe and practical option for individuals looking to enhance their personal safety.
In addition to their practicality, tactical pens are also highly effective as self-defense tools. The pointed tip of the pen can be used to strike pressure points on an attacker's body, causing pain and disorientation. The sturdy construction of a tactical pen also allows it to be used as a blunt force weapon, capable of delivering powerful strikes to incapacitate an opponent. By incorporating specific drills and techniques, participants will learn how to effectively use a tactical pen to defend themselves in a variety of situations.
