10th Dan - Ryukyu Kempo
Matt Brown grew up studying martial arts and is a lifelong student. He is a certified Grandmaster Level Instructor and 10th Degree Black Belt in Ryukyu Kempo under Professor George Dillman (10th Dan, Dillman Karate International). Before that, he had studied Korean Martial Arts (Tang Soo Do) for 23 years, attaining a 6th Dan, before meeting Professors Dillman, Jay and Presas. He is also a Shodan in both - Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido.
Matt Brown has trained extensively for over 25 years under Professor Wally Jay & his top instructors in Small Circle Jujitsu, Professor Remy Presas & his top students in Modern Arnis and Hanshi Bruce Juchnik in Kosho Ryu.
He is highly sought-after instructor for seminars on Kyusho-jitsu, Tuite-jitsu, Kata Bunkai Applications and other topics related to martial arts and healing. He is a popular teacher around the world for his knowledge, down to earth and often humorous teaching style. He is known for his ability to share and teach advanced concepts so that everyone can benefit from the lesson.
Matt Brown teaches internationally in countries such as France, England, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, China, Canada and throughout the US. He is known for his technical expertise as well as his down to earth and often humorous teaching style.
He specializes in teaching how science converges with the skills sets of Kyusho Jitsu (pressure point striking) and Tuite Jitsu (seizing pressure points) along with applications of movements from kata for self protection.
Matt Brown is trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine from New England School of Acupuncture and the Beijing Tong Ren Hospital. He operated a commercial dojo for over 20 years but now focuses on private and seminar instruction.
